Realtors subscribe to a high code of ethics and Realtors are required to have additional education. What is the Code of Ethics? The code consists of 17 Articles, 71 supporting Standards of Practice, and 131 explanatory caseinterpretations. It was founded on the principles of the Golden Rule and requires that Realtors cooperate with each other to further the best interests of consumers and their clients. Non-Realtors, known as licensees, do not subscribe to these higher standards.
